Parma, October 27, 2025 – Bringing a dog into your life is an important decision that affects the lives of anyone who makes this choice—and their family—for many years to come.
This awareness led to the creation of the University of Parma’s guidance office for making an informed choice about getting a dog: an office to help you navigate the process of choosing a four-legged companion who can live their best life, in harmony with your lifestyle, living space, and family composition of those who decide to care for it.
This is a first, fundamental step toward building an unbreakable bond with the animal and preventing future problems.
Thanks to a team of veterinarians, the office offers free, expert guidance on choosing a dog, information on care, costs, and training methods, as well as personalized answers to any questions or concerns.
To schedule a free, personalized consultation at the Department of Veterinary Science at Strada del Taglio 10, simply visit the dedicated booking calendar.
The project is funded by FAPE funds—University Funds for Public Engagement from the University of Parma in partnership with the Order of Veterinarians of the Province of Parma, the City of Parma, and the Parma Dog Lovers’ Group.
